Diabetes Help, Childhood Diabetes, Diabetic DietsDiabetes InformationDiabetes is a disease in which your blood glucose i.e. sugar in your blood rises too high. Glucose comes from the food you eat. Insulin is a hormone that lets glucose get into your cells and give them energy. When suffering from Type 1 diabetes, your body does not make insulin. With Type 2 diabetes, the more common type, your body does not make or use insulin well. After which having too much glucose in your blood can cause serious problems further damaging your eyes, kidneys, and nerves. Diabetes which further results to dependence on insulin is classified as Type 1 diabetes. The Type 1 of diabetes is only faced by 5-10 percent of the diabetic population. It can sometimes be more worse than other forms of diabetes too. In the past, Type 1 has been known as juvenile or juvenile-onset diabetes (because it is usually diagnosed in those under thirty), brittle diabetes, unstable diabetes, and ketosis-prone diabetes. People in the Type 1 of diabetes usually get the symptoms like ketones present in blood and urine. Diabetes can damage this system. Heavy content of sugar in blood is quite harmful as the kidney filters too much of blood then. This creates an extra pressure on the kidneys, which after few years leads to leakage. In this process useful protein is lost in the urine. Having small amounts of protein in the urine is called microalbuminuria. When the kidney disease is diagnosed in the early stage, several treatments may keep kidney disease away from getting worse. When kidney disease is caught later i.e. when the kidney possesses big amount of protein in it that stage is known as macroalbuminuria. Type 2 diabetes becomes more dangerous as you get older, especially after the age of 45. That’s because after the age of 45 people often tend to exercise less, lose muscle mass and gain weight. Children, adolescents and young adults are day by day becoming the victim of Type 2 diabetes. When the blood sugar level is higher than the normal it is known as Prediabetes, but it is not that high to be classified under Type 2 diabetes. If prediabetes is not looked upon properly then it further leads to type 2 diabetes. Diabetic kidney disease takes many years to develop. In some people, the filtering function of the kidneys is actually higher than normal in the first few years of their diabetes. Over several years, people who are developing kidney disease will have small amounts of the blood protein albumin begin to leak into their urine. This first stage of CKD is called microalbuminuria. The kidney's filtration function usually remains normal during this period. Admin http://DiabetesHelpCare.com Comments |
