Diabetes Help - Childhood Diabetes - Diabetic Diet

Recently diagnosed diabetes patients are prescribed diet and exercise by doctors to identify symptoms, causes, childhood, sugar diabetes etc... But more and more physicians are adding chromium to the prescribed mix, to control though diet, in some cases, reverse excess blood sugar and weight particularly in childhood.

If you've ever heard the dreaded words 'You've got diabetes' from your doctor, you've also heard him say the words 'diet and exercise' as a prescribed remedy for the Type 2 condition. This is standard advice given by physician to diabetes symptoms. It's general, but hard to dispute as a way to counter a diabetic condition (mostly in childhood) that, if left unchecked, could be fatal. Doctors now days are expanding their prescription to include a miniscule level of trace mineral, called chromium.

Chromium was first discovered to have beneficial diabetic qualities back in 1958, as a mechanism for controlling healthy blood sugar activity.

Recently, researchers are finding that a specific type of chromium not only keeps blood sugar under control, but it also addresses diabetes triggering condition obesity for diabetes help.

You can find a variety of chromium types -- picolinate, acetate and chloride on the market. But a relatively recent variation, called oxygen-coordinated, niacin-bound chromium, can address both unhealthy blood sugar and excess weight. Harvard, Creighton University, UC Berkeley have undertaken clinical studies in which, niacin-bound chromium was found to help normalize blood sugar levels and reduce body weight in different diabetes conditions such as childhood , sugar diabetes etc... The body weight results proved to be three times greater than those realized, following the traditionally prescribed diabetic diet and exercise alone'. Recently, several noted physicians, including Dr. Harry Preuss, Georgetown University Medical Center, and Dr. Nicholas Perricone, author of four best-selling books, identified niacin-bound chromium as beneficial to non-diabetics, as well.

These benefits include lower blood pressure, lower cholesterol, increased longevity and making your diabetic diet more delicious. For more information please look below.
